In the airport on my way to Denver.

Took some shots the other night for a water company in Canada. Reminded me of how lucky we are to live in Arizona where it's warm in Feb.

Been getting slammed with email, please forgive me if I don't respond to it all. Not enough man power to get back to everyone. I appreciate all the warm responses, even some of the not so warm ones too. Good feedback on what we can do better. It's funny the folks who are nice, leave their name.

So far I'm making a list of the best ones:

"I hate you trust-afarians who don't have a real job and can fish all the time, get a job and off your dad's tit."

"You need to spell better than a sixth-grader blah-blah-blah-blah."

"You aren't a real photographer, just a dude with an expensive camera."

"If you knew how to use your gear, you wouldn't use a fish eye."

None of which came with names attached. I'm not going to include the ones targeting Hudson, because to be honest it's just sad. There are a handful of guys out there that are a blip on the radar of things. The energy they spend chasing me is silly. A got a couple phone calls from guys, please don't worry, all the BS is just noise. I appreciate your concern sincerely, but that is all it is: noise from folks who should be fishing, but aren't.

By count of IP addresses posting on various sites, there are a total of five "ANGRY Folks" out there, creating all the stir. Think about that in terms of time spent posting. So sad. A couple of them have kids, they choose to chase me instead of spend time with their little ones or go fish. Granted that a couple of those IP addresses are teachers, it is sad they would go after anyone let Hudson.

I never claimed to be some great photographer or writer. A lot of what they say is right. Spelling, grammar all that, is pretty poor. My pictures can definitely get better. Long ways to go on both. In truth I don't mind sharing with you all the journey. It's honest and part of why I think the whole thing relates to folks living it. Not everyone is a professional photographer, or writer, but if your reading this you are most likely an angler. So like you I have flaws too, but without question love to fish.

Hopefully this connects with some of you who called, emailed etc. I sincerely don't want you to get caught up with having to defend me to the few who are ANGRY. Let their anger eat them, I'm going fishing. You should too.

Aaron,

Thought I'd throw in a "nice" comment from a teacher. I'm a language arts/reading/English teacher (been teaching for 16 years). I've been enjoying your blog for about a year now. If I want to get my dander up over someone's grammar/spelling, I'll sit and read my students' work. If I want to see some great pictures and read about someone's passion for life (including their family) and fishing, I'll continue following your blog. Keep up the great work!

Thanks teach:). NIce to hear someone can look past the rough edges. Gives me hope folks get that it's about more than just about Webster and grammar.

I'll bet they are affiliated with PETA or something. Sounds like a ridiculous minority. The magazine is awesome.

I hear that man! I don't visit your site for exceptional grammer or astonishing photography (although your lens work is awesome!!!) I come to read about someone like me who's doing what they love in a different part of the country. Its a chance to look through another fish heads eyes and gain a different perspective. Its all about the rough edges bro! And for someone to come after your kid, dude thats just trash! No class at all!!! Keep doing what your doing and F*@$ the rest!!!!

All you can do is laugh at ignorant assholes such as those- you know you've got the goods and so does everyone else with their head screwed on straight. Glad to hear you don't let it get to ya. The way I see it, it's kinda like how driving through the ghetto can make you appreciate your situation in life. If all my attention was focused on harassing some dude I'm secretly jealous of (and maybe have a little man-crush on to boot) I'd prolly be as half-a$$ed an angler as those rum-heads most likely are. I'm guessing you don't get much world-class fish porn attatched to those angry emails.

Keep your head up and keep doing what you do brother, it's pretty obvious it's your passion and it's mighty kind of you to share it with the world.

I'm mired in Ohio for now but summer brings mobility.

Hey there, I gotta say two things; first, your blog is amazing. The pictures and the writing combine to bring it to another level.
Second, I know there are a lot of really bitter, angry, jealous, and twisted people out there but the hate mail youve gotten seems to be beyond all. Don't listen to them and keep FISHING.

Great blog Aaron and don't let the b*st*rds grind you down - doesn't sound like you will. Can't believe grown human beings - especially 'fishermen (aren't they supposed to be better people?) - would have a go at your little boy. Out of order. Keep up the good work.
